7 Drinks You Can Order Another Round Of

If you’re trying to watch your calorie intake, the drink you consume at a date or in a night out with friends can be pretty substantial to your diet. Whether you like gin, rum, tequila, or whiskey, and whether you want to sip it at home or your’e out in a bar, there’s a beverage for you here.

1. Mojito: 168 calories

Although a drink made with sugar is usually not recommended, you can request half the sugar—or ditch it altogether. Mint, lime, and soda water are all naturally low-cal.

2. Gin and Tonic: 148 calories

With tonic counting for only 10 calories an ounce, it’s the perfect accompaniment to a top-shelf gin (or vodka).

3. Vodka Soda: 96 calories

Ordering a vodka soda at the bar will cut down on your calories sipped for the night. Since soda water has zero calories, all you have to account for is the alcohol. Go ahead, and order another round.

4. Rum and Diet Coke: 96 calories

Since diet coke is low-cal and sweet, it can be a perfect soft drink to go with your alcohol. Just beware the high levels of caffeine, it keep you up past your bedtime.

In general, white wines tend to be lower in alcohol and calories than reds. While light whites have around 140 calories or less per six-ounce glass, a light red has between 135 to 165 calories, while a higher-alcohol red like pinot noir or syrah can have up to 200 in a glass.
