Best Dressed List At The Age Of 5
In 2015, when the prince was only 2-years-old, he made it into the “50 Best Dressed Men in Britain” by GQ magazine. This was the very first time that the young prince was actually on some sort of a fashion list and he was the youngest to ever make it. Just a few years later, for the second time around, the now 5-year-old Prince George made it into another fashion list, this time around it is on Tatler magazine’s “Britain’s Best Dressed 2018” list.
The young prince made it into the list because of his usual style of collared shirts that are normally paired with the cutest shorts and high socks. It is, in fact, a tradition in the royal family that a young prince must always have this kind of style until he reaches the age of 8-years-old where he can wear pants or a suit. This is what young boys in the upper-class families usually wear since it is considered as incredibly classy. This is basically what Prince George wears when he is seen in public.
The only time that the prince has broken this tradition was during his uncle Harry’s wedding with Meghan Markle last May. For the very first time, the young prince was seen wearing long pants since he served as one of the page boys. He was wearing a somewhat similar Blues and Royal coat that his uncle and father was wearing.
Of course, it wasn’t only the 5-year-old prince who made it into the list. His mother Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, was on the list as well. His new aunt, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, was also included. Of course, Prince George’s great-grandmother, the Queen herself, was the eldest honoree to make it into the list. The Queen’s choice of fashion was of course very iconic since she has been wearing bright colored outfit for a few years now.
The Prince George Effect
Fashion analysts said that Prince George has definitely changed the world of children’s fashion. Ever since he was born, everything that he has been wearing goes on trend. That would mean that people from all over the world are trying to get their hands on whatever it is the young prince was wearing. This is what they usually refer to as the “Prince George Effect”.
Usually, people would try and copy the style of some celebrity children, but ever since the prince was born, he has already been considered as an icon. In fact, even the sleeping robe that he wore that one time he met with United States President Barack Obama, was sold out within days of having the photo public.
