The MTV Video Music Awards was a major success and for the 35th time that it has been on live television, people still can’t get enough of it. Held at the Radio City Music Hall in the city that never sleeps, people thought that it would just be like any other VMA’s with singer’s coming home with the Moon Man, an iconic celebrity will get the Michael Jackson award, and celebrity performances here and there.
However, things went a little shady when Nicki Minaj called out Tiffany Haddish when she dissed Fifth Harmony for not being a part of the VMAs this year since they are technically on a break, compared to their former member Camilla Cabello being nominated not just for one but five awards that night. While accepting an award, Nicki Minaj called out to Tiffany and warned that she shouldn’t be coming for Fifth Harmony.
However, something seemed to have happened just a day before the VMAs, and it still includes the female rapper. Then again, this wasn’t to defend anyone at all, it wasn’t even a subtle shade or a major tea spill, in fact, it was literally just a major drag towards another rapper, Travis Scott, and his girlfriend, reality star Kylie Jenner.
Nicki Slams Travis Scott Over Twitter
Even if Nicki said that there is no beef between her and the couple, it would seem as if there is now one. In an interview with Apple Music Radio last weekend, it would seem that Nicki has an explanation as to her album not hitting the No. 1 spot at the Billboard Top 200, and that is because of Travis Scott’s album, Astroworld, beating her album, Queen.
This major throw was made when the female rapper accused Travis that the only reasons he made it to the top are because he has been using his girlfriend to actually promote him. This then led to the 35-year-old female rapper being only on the No.2 spot. She also said that people only wanted his album is because he sells bundles of them, and it includes some of his merchandise, as well as some tour, passes with a great discount.
I put my blood sweat & tears in writing a dope album only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling ppl to come see her & Stormi. lol. Im actually laughing. #Queen broke the record of being number 1 in 86 countries. Thank Jesus & thank you to my fans.

On Twitter, she totally slammed Travis and Kylie for actually saying that their daughter, Stormi, is ready to be on tour, implying that people might get a chance to see their baby, which then means that it would get people to want to go to his shows. Kylie actually posted on her Instagram that she and her daughter are indeed ready to go on tour.
Although Astroworld topped the Billboard 200, Nicki claims the top spot on being the number one album in America and even broke the record of being number one is not just 1 but 86 other countries. She then took the chance and wrote how thankful she truly is to her fans. This beef to an entirely new level, that Travis Scott and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, asked to be moved from the other side the room, instead of sitting behind “someone who is just on the no. 2 spot”.
Spotify had to teach me a lesson but rewarded the man who has had an Apple radio show the longest; inadvertently helping the Apple platform the most. Oh I can’t wait for #QueenRadio on Tuesday. They took away my promotion they had promised for the 1st cpl days b/c of this. #Queen

Postponed Concert and Spotify Issue
The female rapper also had to call out the music streaming service, Spotify, by penalizing her by taking away their promotion for her since people tweeted that it was up on Apple. She then revealed that her label was just afraid to address this issue since Spotify might to this to Ariana as well.
However, Spotify denied these accusations and said that they have supported her release and that their company is still a big fan of the rapper.
My label didn’t want to defend me for fear of Spotify trying to teach Ariana a “lesson” too! https://t.co/1dAdbcbWVd

Aside from this drama, it turns out that she is also postponing her tour in North America which was supposed to start on September 21 in Baltimore, Maryland. However, her headliner, Future, is revealed to be no longer be joining the tour because of conflicts in schedule. Instead, fans will see Nicki sometime in 2019 and refunds for the tickets is now available. But then, ticket sales for the rescheduled concert is yet to be announced.
Good news for those who are in Europe though, that is because Future, together with Nicki, will still be on starting the 21st of February. It wasn’t exactly said if this postponement has got to do with the recent Twitter rant since no one is making any statement about it.
